My Self Publishing Journey

I wrote a book. Then somehow had to get if off the computer into physcial form, that was a feat. It took me 3 years! The start of crawling out of my comfort zone began! If you scroll back to the first post, there’s a very large boat, carrying my first print run, all the way from China. They landed at Felixstowe. A few days later a lorry unloaded them on my front drive - now the hard work really began. Forward 5 years, I’ve now written and published 3 books, re printed twice and sold 3,200 copies and counting….

Hurray January is over!

Happy New Year!

I told Martin (husband) I wasn’t going to write a piece for my blog this month as not much has been happening and telling you about an average day seemed a bit boring!

I’m in menopause fog! I pass people I know in the street and can’t remember whether I’ve said ‘hello’ - it’s that bad.

Who would have thought I’d become a PR & marketing expert? Promoting a book is tricker than writing one that’s for sure!

2018 - a mixed year!
2018 - a mixed year!

As the end of the year draws in, I am pleased to say my book has almost sold out. 1,000 copies down to 17 - not bad at all for a newbie, novoice, startup, beginner. It’s been brilliant and awful in equal measures.

October has proved eventful. It started off with ‘a day in the life of a super model’ - not really - it was just me; the photographer, the lady from the WI and an awful lot of cake.
