Book Launch part 2 - the Village

After the launch I was inundated with kind words, comments - oh and tears! There have been a lot of people this week who've told me they've been in tears reading my book - I hope that's a good thing! The whole book launch experience was surreal and lovely. I sold lots of book and to top it all I got a call from Good Housekeeping magazine who asked if they could do a feature in their August edition - I'll keep you posted!

On Thursday I packed my car up and drove 250 miles North to do my second book launch in the village hall where I grew up - Read, Lancashire. Not knowing what to expect or if many would turn up I was please to say a packed hall and many more book sales - I think I've sold over 4oo copies and with 100 books lining shelves in 12 shops - my initial panic about storage of 1,000 books is no longer a problem!

I woke this morning to a message from aTwitter follower from Ohio, she sent me this comment after reading her copy:

"Your book is so lovely and beautiful. It's like it's alive. It's a masterpiece of warmth and love. And it's so physically beguiling I really can't write in it! Thank you for making this book!"

I am delighted that Collecting Conversations is having an impact - I hope it encourages many more conversations.
