How are you?

IMG_0745.jpg

I am very well except for my arthritis. I am happy with my lot.

How do you feel about children?

I was 20 when I started having children. I think with hindsight I would have left it a bit longer so I could have experinced life a bit more. I think it's good to live a bit first before having kids.

How do you see yourself?

In a big group I am very quiet, I take everything in. I like people watching. One on one I am a very bubbly sort of person.

What do you think about body image?

I am quite happy with my size. I've passed 50 now, so buggar it! I've got great boobs and I am happy in my body.

What brings you down?

When my family is off key. I worry about them. I know I shouldn’t but I don’t like people taking advantage of any of us. I cope with disappointment by going quiet and keeping myself to myself. I process it, clear it in my own, then I become calm.

What do you think about marriage?

My first marriage lasted 8 years. He liked the girls and the fist! Second time around and I’ve never cooked Christmas dinner in over forty one years, that tells you something!

How do you best express yourself?

If my husband pushes a button too far then I can get very verbal! I'm a lot more placid and laid back as I've got older.

Who or what inspires you?

Marie Curie was the first lady to inspire me when I was younger, she was brilliant. Mary Seacole too. And of course my family and friends inspire me.

What does life mean to you?

I enjoy life. I’ve seen a lot of changes. What happens in life makes you stronger. It’s who you meet along the way. You've got to be up beat, always have friends around you. Listen to them, hear what they have to say.

What do you you think about death?

I lost my faith when my dad died. You just have to get on with it, if you go backwards, you're digging your own grave. You've got to think about the living.

What would you like to leave for the next generation?

The earth is giving life, treat it with respect. Help to keep the planet good for the next generation.
