It’s another day, what will it bring! I’m alive!
Josie 66, widowed. From Lancashire, retired. Two grown up daughters and Grandma to three boys.
How are you?
I am good. I don’t think I ail for anything. Life is good. My attitude is stuff it. I don’t worry about anything, as long as I can get away from time to time and do my own thing.
What’s your most memorable experience?
Obviously the births, deaths and marriages of life, but once when I was on holiday in Hawaii, I was standing at Pearl Harbour, I have no idea why but I found it extremely moving, I think I even cried.
How do you think other people see you?
I don’t care! I wear what I want to wear, I go where I want to go and I eat what I want to eat.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
It’s another day, what will it bring - I’m alive!
What are your dreams?
I’d like to see more of the world. I would like to visit Thailand and Vietnam - I love geography.
What do you like about yourself?
I’m good at chillin’, I like to chill. I feel guilty that I should be doing other stuff tho’.
How do you see yourself?
Getting older and not being able to do the things I used to be able to do. I don’t want to be a burden. I dread dementia.
How do you best express yourself?
I talk to myself (not out loud!) in my head.
Who or what inspires you?
Geography, adventure, people that “do”; olympians, sports people. I wish I’d have done it, I’d love to have been a cyclist.
What do you think about life?
It's a joke - a beginning and an end, a nightmare and a pleasure, it’s all opposites. Life on earth and death on earth, it’s a never ending cycle.
Are you free?
Free as a bird, I can do what I want when I want.
